Hello,

I'm installing puias 6.3 on my laptop. What is the difference between the desktop and minimal desktop install? I plan to use the laptop for openoffice, internet, and various work related software.
Also, am I using the right forum for these questions?

Minimal desktop only installs a graphical desktop but no real applications, firefox is about it.

Desktop installs libreoffice and other desktop applications.

Also, am I using the right forum for these questions?

This is for bugs really, we don't have a forum at the moment but there are some user mailing lists you can use.
